Good thing I sold PWRD right before the big dip,
wish I had done it when it was 36. Not sure if
the market is going sideways or down. What's your
take?

i cashed out of my positions in ceph and jci and
bought into mmm after a large dip (hopefully
unjust). PWRD and alvr are creeping up.

I've had some good returns on some of my laggards
lately, wondering if this is a one day wonder
versus the start of something big. TIVO, mhtx, v,
ceph,alvr,jci,crtp, aone, gild, unh, mhs,pwld. I
cashed out of tivo, crtp, and bought back into
adbe. I haven't been getting penny stocks finder
emails as of late.

Bull, thanks for the update. So confused as to
what to do right now, sell high or stay in the
game. I have been selling my winners off since
September, but would have been better off had I
held some of them. You really think it's time to
BUY?

Wow, what a roller coaster ride we had today, good
think I had taken a lot of my profits before this
week. The market was moving so fast at one point
I was trying to buy some bulls, but couldn't get
my trades in (system overload?). It's going to be
interesting how the market reacts tomorrow, will
the bottom feeders or the fear factor be the
winner?

Hi, I haven't been on here in a while, lost my
shirt with some of the options trading, so I
wouldn't recommend Visions to anyone, their
commissions are very steep compared to others.
Also they SOLD when I told them to hold and I lost
money.
Maket is making a correction, been really volitile
lately, some opportunities to make some quick cash
or head for the hills. hmmmm. Keep in touch.

I haven't been too happy with the trading advice
from opvest, their theories have mostly been
right, but their timing off, so I've lost on my
gold, crude oil, euro, cocoa trades, plus, their
fees are high. I'd still like to trade options,
but maybe a different house.

BULLMKT4U, how's it going? I haven't been on this
site in a while. Updated my portfolio today. I'm
thinking the markets are changing, time for new
strategy?

Bull, can I call you that?
Thanks for the tips, Aceyducey and Cyprus are
trader ids?
I've been trying to get out of some of my
positions, I got scalped on my crude options (got
out too soon) and lost some on my march gold too.
I'm making a good profit on my sugar trades, so
I'm trying to get out with a profit, I'm buying
cocoa and April gold at a lower price. So far
these opvest guys have been a little off with
their timing. I'm loosing on my euro dollar bear
trade too.
My husband has been doing some predictions, and
sometimes he's been right, he's pretty bearish on
the market overall. He thinks we'll see a big
drop end of week. It's also options expiration
time, so that could pull a big punch.
I pretty much use my trade site's (bank of america
and scott trade) market reports, plus I get some
news feeds from marketwatch, penny stocks finder,
seeking alpha and others, I like stockgumshoe, he
analyzes the stock hypes that are beings sent out,
and let's you know what the 'secret' stock pick is
- for free. I think he's going to try to get into
selling subscriptions. Also my options guys,
here's the latest on the euro from them. Bearish
on the euro.
The EU looks ripe to strip Greece of its voting
power.
“The council of EU finance ministers said
Athens must comply with austerity demands by March
16 or lose control over its own tax and spend
policies altogether. It if fails to do so, the EU
will itself impose cuts under the draconian
Article 126.9 of the Lisbon Treaty in what would
amount to economic suzerainty. While the symbolic
move to suspend Greece of its voting rights at one
meeting makes no practical difference, it marks a
constitutional watershed and represents a crushing
loss of sovereignty.”
Clearly, the story above is not helpful to the
euro which could further pressure the EuroFX
downward.
Thanks for your advice and support.

Hay again & yw. Are you day trading? You might
consider buying some cheap blue chips for lg.term,
OR, companies like: POT which owns ~32% of SQM
(mines both potash and lithium), ~28% of an Arab
potash co., ~20% Sinofert, a china fertilizer
company and ~10% of an Israeli fertilizer
company...pretty good Inat'l exposure with one
stock and promising growth with the global
population going above 7billion. Okay, I am done
preachin, I am here to correct a typo: CBEFF is
suppose to be CCBEF. I like 'em because they had
gotten into the American mrkt...JUST before the
downturn which is why I think they took such a big
hit...still hopin.

Hay Bull'. Don't feel bad, EVERYBODY tooks some
hard hits early on, no matter how good they were.
Currently, I am using 3 strategies. First:
typically, I am a momentum buyer and I do use
IBD(investor business daily...
check them out) for suggestions. Second: I do the
buy/hold thing too, esp, with companies that have
a focus on future technologies and therapies, IMO
that have a great future. Like POL: designer
molecules, GERN: stem cell therapies, MBLX:
biodegradable plastic...etc. Third: recently,
becuase of the downturn, i have been buying up
multi-billion $ companies for, literally, pennies.
I consider this a 'once in a lifetime'
opportunity to buy deep, DEEP.Value. For example:
BGP (BorderBooks), before the downturn, their mean
price/shr was a ~$22.00. I pick up my first
100shr at $0.89/shr and more at $1.34/shr. LIZ
(LizClaireborn) normally ~$40/shr, I bought at
$3.98/shr. UIS (Unisys) normaly ~$70/shr, I
bought at $2.92/shr. SRZ(SunriseLiving) normaly
~$32/shr, I bought at $2.19/shr,...etc. You should
take the time to find some brand name/blue chips
for your lg.term portfolio. I am sure it WILL be
well worth it when you retire. They probably won't
be this cheap again. FYI, I also bought
MESA@$.022/shr but they went bankrupt...so there
are some risks to buying these companies. Still
plenty of good companies in the minus50-75% range
which maybe less risky than the >-75% range I have
been buying steadily. I started learning at/on
Morningstar.com which is considered to be the
'bible' for mutual funds. But, they are also good
with stocks...much more so than tickerspy.
Recommend reading: "The Only Investment Guide You
Will Ever Need" & "The Intelligent Asset
Allocator". You bought TTM, for pretty much the
same reasons I bought ZAAP. In this case, their
electric vehicles in the USA, will be classified
as an 'enclosed motorcycle' (...it has 3 wheels,
not 4). Good luck & good buys

Hay Bull'...No problem on barcharts, I have done
the work too. I use barcharts as a reference to
pick out 'good' stocks to watch on tickerspy.
Then I cherry pick the best for my own portfolio.
The mrkt has been relatively flat since early NOV,
I was expecting good X-mas numbers to keep the
momentum up until the 2nd QTR of 2010. Bad
numbers(in this case, mediocre) would be the onset
of a correction. I was expecting a full 10%
correction (down to SPY's 1030, not 1060). I
suspect the -8% still might go to -10%, so after
todays jump, I am still cautious. After THIS
correction and while the US$1 remain high(er), I
think we can still see another 15-20% run up into
the 2nd QTR, despite the political haggeling.
Just starting out? Good for you, seeing the worst
mrkt possible at the beginning of your investment
career, should give you a good perspective going
forward. From what I see, there are still plenty
of "once in a lifetime' (blue chip) bargins out
there. Dont miss 'em for your lg.term holdings.
I have been on TIckerspy since May, 09. Since, I
have been gathering lists of companies at >-90%
loss and >-80% in the portfolio 'bottom feed' &
'the yig'. This last QTR reared a bunch more but
not near the numbers or quality of good companies
as before. But, there are some still worth a
look. If you liked barcharts, you will probably
like BigCharts.com too. Essentially, it is the
same as barcharts but they do it with graphs
(sometimes, a visual representation is more
insightful). I notice you also follow alot of
pennystocks. Look at AmericanBulls.com and click
the OTCBB button (you may have to swing your
screen all the way right to see the A-B-C-...
tabs). Here, they list virtually all the
micro.caps available. Great place to spot
something new... but it does take time & effort to
do the research. And, I see you aren't afraid of
the work and I figure you will probably enjoy the
game of 'hide&seek' when finding a new stock with
some worthwhile merit. I found a couple of
companies there that I have some faith in: PEFF,
CBEFF, CTGI and SWTX. Good luck & happy hunting

That APSN scares me, it goes from 88 cents to 1.14
several times a day, is that how you made your
money, playing the swings? Or buy and hold?
